RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
The Corporate Partnership Account Executive will work closely with the department Director and will be responsible for the following: To prospect, call on and generate new revenue & new corporate partners for the team. This position requires AE to build an account list from scratch. Reach an annual predetermined sales revenue goal and new business revenue goal To assist in the development of sales presentations and packages, including the development of all related collateral material. Demonstrate creativity and self-motivation as part of sales process To assist in the development of the department's annual business plan To assist in the planning of and participation in events such as corporate partner events, trips, workout days, meetings, and other special events as appropriate Presentation of corporate partnership inventory consisting of primarily, but not limited to the following inventory: o Print Advertising o Radio Advertising o Promotional Events, in-park and outside of ballpark o Ballpark Signage o Retail & traffic driving promotions o New media including and emerging interactive technologies Execute contracts for each partner and accurately document and communicate all details of each client agreement. Includes: * Contract drafting and completion with approvals. * Appropriate and consistent updating of departmental CRM/database * Communication of execution requirements with assigned Service Representative and as appropriate with Department Director Game duties shall include presence at all appropriate partner hospitality functions and appropriate partner, as well as Department, event execution requirements as assigned. Assist the Department Director in monitoring the activities of Corporate Partnership Service Representatives and departmental interns. Become extremely familiar with the Partners, related inventory and business practices of the other similarly situated sports teams and media outlets - locally, regionally, and nationally Become familiar with the other forms of local media - competing radio, TV, print & online Additional duties to be assigned at the discretion of the Department Director.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience and success in sales/sales consulting. Advertising/Media sales and/or sports advertising/sponsorship sales preferred. Computer knowledge including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Scarborough Research and Office. Familiarity with media sales techniques and jargon, including Arbitron and Nielsen ratings methods. Basic understanding of organizational structure, goals, and mission. Reads, speaks, and comprehends English effectively. Represents the Indians in a positive fashion to all business partners and the general public Ability to work extended days and hours. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have reliable personal transportation to execute off-site sales calls Ability to lift and carry items up to 15 lbs. Ability to sit for an entire shift. Ability to move throughout all areas and levels of the Ballpark. Ability to work in a diverse environment with multicultural populations and a commitment to fairness and equality. Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationship with members of the Front Office Ability to act according to the organizational values at all times
