Intern-Retail Sales
• Candidate must be a currently enrolled college student at the time of internship
• Prefer candidates who are seeking Bachelors in Business/Sales/Retail.
• Prior Sales and/or customer service work experience, a plus
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Strong project management and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent communicator who is well organized and detailed-oriented
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft OfficeThe Retail Sales Intern supports the Retail Sales Channel team in their efforts to improve and enhance the Retail department's operational processes. You'll learn about inventory and financial controls while you focus on Verizon Wireless's accountability and compliance for customer transactions.
You may also be working in one of our retail stores, to complement your operations experience, by providing exceptional customer service to individuals visiting the Verizon Wireless store. As a member of the store team, you will help the store achieve its financial and customer service goals. The skills you'll develop during your internship represent key strengths that are needed for a career in Business, Marketing, Sales, and Retail.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities may include the following:
• Provide exceptional customer service to individuals visiting the VZW store, including greeting customers while assessing their needs.
• Handle customer facing transactions, including accepting bill payments, credit and debits, account maintenance including equipment upgrades, troubleshooting handsets and maintaining repaired phones.
